Treasurers report

The Treasurer tabled the latest accounts, and requested members to fill in timesheets where appropriate.

Report from the Questionnaire subgroup.

Nigel tabled the first draft of the proposed questionnaire prepared from the summaries of the feedback from the meetings held so far prepared by Jan.

As there had been no formal meeting of the subgroup Nigel had prepared this first draft.

This was discussed, Nigel reported that he had tried to include those things, which appeared to bother people; some may be capable of action some may not,

Jan expressed some concern that the questionnaire should be prepared by the subgroup as a whole, not by one member of the group. Especially as the number of headings had been reduced. from those contained in her summary. This was discussed

It was agreed that the subgroup would take the draft away and look at it as a group, meeting at Marks house on Sunday 1st June, and to comment using the draft as a working document, A further meeting would be arranged by the subgroup if necessary, before the next meeting of the whole group.

There was discussion on the distribution of the questionnaire and it was proposed that different colour codes should be used for the differing communities within the parish.

Sylvia undertook to speak to Kathy Bugden for advice on the matter of individuals or households completing the questionnaire, and how you allowed for differing points of view within households.

DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF NEXT MEETING

This will be at Shoreham Village Hall on Tuesday the 8th July at 8:00 pm.

Please note that Sylvia has now contacted Kathy Bugden, and she has suggested a strategy for ensuring that each person in a household is able to register their own opinion. This information has been transmitted to Nigel, for use by the sub-group dealing with the questionnaire.

At the same time Sylvia delivered a verbal report to Kathy on our progress to date. Kathy agreed that this verbal report was sufficient for the moment, but requested that we include a written report on progress when we ask for the next tranche of the promised money.
