Minutes of the first meeting of the group formed to produce a Shoreham Parish Plan, held on 7^th.June 2002 at Darenth Lodge.

Present :- N.Britten, P.Hobson {standing in for N.Walker},M.Lintell,Mrs.S.Lyons, J.Lyons, M.Peek, Mrs.J.Saynor.

Apologies:- J.Bovington, Rev.R.Freeman, Ms.Nash, Mrs.M.Talbot, N.Walker.

It was resolved that the name of the group would be the Parish Plan Group [PPG].

It was resolved that P.Hobson would provide all the members of the group with new e-mail addresses, so that our existing ones are not contaminated. The cost of this will be met by the group.

N.Britten was appointed chairman for the duration of this meeting only, the question of a permanent chairman was deferred to a later, hopefully more representative meeting.

Mrs.S.Lyons was appointed as temporary Secretary, and she was asked to contact N.Walker and ask him if he would accept the post of treasurer.

There was some discussion as to whether the group should operate under the auspices of the Shoreham Society. It was the feeling of the group that it would be better to start a new group, even though this would take a little longer. However the Shoreham Society agreed to provide a float until the group had funds of its own.

It was resolved that Mrs.S.Lyons would obtain 15 copies of the Community Appraisal Pack.

P.Hobson was co-opted onto the group. It was further agreed that he would try to get some people from Badgers Mount to join the group, so as to make it more representative of the whole parish.

The date of the next meeting is Friday 19^th.July at 8pm at Shoreham Village Hall.
